1985 ATC 250ES valve adjustment???

i just recently got a 85 250es big red, its in great shape, but i think i need to adjust my valves, they are ticking alittle, and it looks to be not as simple as my atc110 or atc125. How should i do it, and what do i need to set them at? thanks in advance
