There is an 85 trx 250 for sale on cl and not far from my house.I was wondering if anyone knew if that eng would work on my big red, they are both shaft drive.

84 and 85 have very different engine.

wow that has to be one of the stupidest thign i ahve heard in a while,, if you even look at a picture you can see they are wayyyyyyy diffrent.

i have no idea what the trx even looks like! I just saw an ad, It was cheap and thought mabey it would work. Thats why I asked...hopeing somebody could help me before i drove 65 miles to look at it.

Only some of the 200cc motors fit.

Yeah, that would take alot of cutting and machein work to make it fit.

well I guess i could get it and put it on the big red just to show brapp im not as stupid as he thinks,I was a prototype enginer for several years so I know i have enough experince fabing to make it work.I just wanted to know if it was a direct bolt in.I thought that was what this site was for to share annd get info!

if you an find a 250 big red it will directly bolt in as well as a lot of other parts. the 84 big red was more of a one year thing. way to be a knob brapp:banned:

I think you just caught BRAPP in a mood, He see's allot of tail, err trikes and like Tiger he has a variety of years and models to view and or take for a test drive :D

I'm sure he thought you had seen both motors........

Doesn't make him the worst guy on the planet though, bacon at Brapps is nice.........:beer Bacon/Brapp Bacon/Brapp Bacon/Brapp !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yah, I haven't been on here very long and I have seen him help out alot......
