I just got a new big red 250es.. Will upload pictures Tuesday when i go over there to start working on it. I might end up having to buy a new carb for it it all depends on how bad it is. It has 3 new tires on it. its in clean shape. I would like to order two new rear fenders but not sure gonna get it running first.
What do yall recommend on rear end diff fluid?
I got another question. I notice the Big Red's Carburetor part's diagram

I notice its pretty complicated... WOW there is a lot of parts to clean.
How hard is it to remove the carburetor from the bike? I notice that the chock part screwed into the carb. Its not like the carb I had on my 200s.. Im gonna order a new peckcock for it.. seems like all the trikes or quads that i get the peckcock is frozen and because of that when i turn it on it leaks around the shut off valve.

Carb isnt bad to rebuild. Keep in mind, the carb kits are different for a 85 than the 86 & 87 carbs..... Try and salvage your choke piston... They are spendy to replace...

make sure you can get the choke piston out withOUT messing it up
soak with pb blaster for a few days if you have to, it wont eat the rubber seal if yours has one.
I reassembled with mmystery oil since its designed for fuel systems
The cable pulls out of the brass piston very easily and the ears break off and
they need to be drilled out usually with a milling machine
Best bikes ever made if you like a turbocharged cadillac
diff is actually a tad over 3 oz but MAKE sure there is some in there.
I've gotten 2 new bikes in the last week and both were low.
seems to evaporate or condense over the years and were surely Never checked 'cause no sign of leakage
