Made ya look. I've got a ytm-200e, and you guys seem to avoid posts about this particular trike like the plague.
You guys have heard the story a million times "I just bought this old three-wheeler that was in my neighbors yard for $20"
I got it home, checked the oil, put some gas in it, blew out the air filter. Pulled it twice, and realized there was a choke. Hit the choke, and bam! Started right up and idled perfect. This after sitting for years! So now, here's my problem. The only thing wrong with this thing is the front end. Forks bent, front brake, etc. The big problem is the steering stem is a bit ovaled out and banged up. It looks like someone took the bearings out, took a piece of iron pipe, stuck it through the triples and stem and just kept riding it. I can't find much in the way of used front end parts for this bike. What are my options here? Should I just hack off the steering stem, and weld the whole front end on from another bike? Where are some good places to get some parts? All help is appreciated.

Sweet find! :) Unfortunatly I never have gotten that lucky :? Anyway I would post a want ad in the classifieds section if you haven't already for a front end. Eventually I'm sure one will show up. Later.

Well I suppose I should be more specific with my question. Should I try pounding another bearing into the stem? Or what would be some of my other options?

Oh sure, change the title so now it just looks like incoherent babbling :)
I've really got a split personality.

I would find another front end and fix it correctly. Forks and a triple tree should run you $50 to $125.

So what do you mean by fix it correctly?
