its an 85.frame color is candy blue.everythings powdercoated. i just rebuilt the entire motor with a wiseco hot rod,new crank bearings and seals,new 30 over wiseco ultra light piston, its got a good port job,dg pipe,boyeson reeds,38 mikuni, and a clamp on k&n. and runs on vp 108 leaded. i got it weighed at the feed lot and its trimmed to 280 lbs

What did you use to convert the gas tank under neath the front? I didnt see any pics of it. I like the idea of covering the front air filter hood though.. that is a nice touch!!!

oh man....that is nice!! good color scheme too! hey!!, i was gonna put clear radiator hosing on my tecate!! nice to see how it looks before i put it on :D

Love the Z. I really like the truck too. I know it makes loading it up easier.

Great Tri Z...I love the color scheme...did you convert the gas tank to one above the seat?
It looks great...I was thinking seriously about taking the paint off my engine too....but decided to go with the classic look!

they dont make one for the z but my VERY reputable local moto shop hooked me up and got me one from a "i think" 97 yamaha 426. its the exact same.

Could a big-bore 4 stroke use the same rod as a two stroke???? If that's the case, that's a great bit of info there!! But I bet the rod kit is from a YZ250.
By the way, your Z is looking great badtri-z!

Cool z. The slammed chevy looks like quite a project...is it bagged or just dropped and tubbed? The tire sticking out of the fender well adds a nice touch...

no im definetely sure its from a 426 or 429 whatever, but its NOT from a yz.

how does it ride? i know chaneling wouldnt affect anything but i know at least with dads big rigs with the 8 bag rear ride like $h!t with out a full load.
