1981 250r Oakely edition?

A local guy told me about a 1981 250r Oakely edition, called desert lighting and said honda only made 500 of them is this real or not. im looking to buy it, but want to make sure its something real before i find someone just painted the plastics. it has black plastics and on the back its says desert lighting. any help would be great.

that guy in maine has been trying to sell that for awhile. looks cool, dont know anything about it. He says the motor is brand new. I posted it on here in the classifieds when i first came across it, no one said much.

how do you go from 800 to 2g's!!! usually after a few months if things dont sell you drop the price, not double it:crazy: Strange. some one must have told him its worth more!! I would have bought it for 8 if it wernt in the middle of nowhere!!

i had emailed this guy when it was for sale. was going to trade him my 95 cr250 for it.he was all about it. I only have 500 into the bike so i figured it would be worth it if it was a rare bike or not. i asked him a few questions about it and he really couldnt come up with any information on it. then he said he sold it. did some one here buy it??
