Well I just picked up an 81 Tri-Moto 125. Im not sure if I really want another big project but I went ahead and picked it up for $200, guy said it ran, then they ran it outta gas to store for winter. It has great compression, so i might go ahead and clean it up a bit, clean the carb, throw some gas in it and see if it'll run. I really am not sure about another project, as I have to rebuild the top end on my 250r (might just sell as is), and I have a tore down Kaw KLT200C.... What do you guys think, part out or get running and sell as a whole? I have two decent tank plastic covers, and good back plastic, but a bad seat...

I dont think there is a high demand for parts for the 125, unless it has some aftermarket stuff. You would be stuck with a lot of leftover parts. You could always try, but I say to get it running, and get it to look decent, and you should be able to make a small profit.

Clean the carb and see if it's a runner, have you another snow toy.

Redo it in the spring, if you still have it.

Ok, was that a decent price? I talked him down to $200 from $275. I'll try and get it runnin and I'll use the gas from my 250r cause it sure isn't goin anywhere. :(

I forgot to add the seat cover is a sinche they are all over ebay for $30 or $40 in just about any color you want , but black is really the only color that looks right in my opinion

Cox you actually want a IT175 topend its the better topend of all the Yamaha dirtbike's topends that fit are motors. the only reason I have the DT topend on mine is because I got it real cheap and it turned my motor into a 175.

Old Yellow, I can't remember if I asked, but what is the difference with the DT175 top end?

The DT's topend port timing is not advanced as much as the IT topend also the DT topend has smaller port sizes then the IT topend witch makes it make less power.
