We did some tuning on the webserver, and *think* we might have the bugs worked out. Hows it been working for everyone this morning and today so far?

Pretty good here Billy. I realized i had the old site in my favorites and when I clicked the link it took forever. Probably re-directing. Anyway to get the old black/green skin back? Easier on the eyes.

That black and green just will not die, will it? I don't have any immediate plans to make another theme. I kind of wanted to transition away from it (Hence the green bleed in on the top image, sort of a fading out tribute). We'll see.

And yes, everyone make sure you update your book marks. The new address for everything is now the www.3wheelerworld.com address and the 3wheelerworldforums.com one is simply a redirect.

Jenn, what exactly happens when you use the link, www.3wheelerworldforums.com ? Does the page just not load period and stays blank?

jenndnn3
12-28-2009, 02:22 PM

If need be I can get a screen shot..

Billy Golightly

Seems to work fine for me. About 2 hours ago, I experienced some bogging but it's OK now.

Dont you hate all the feedback you get?

Anyway couple more suggestions and I will leave you alone, because I know the feeling of relinking and tweaking,,, it is never ending...

In the integration of the front home page (the one with all the diagrams,) the avatars under the the comments page do not work, they are just lil red x's.

It would be very cool if you could also toss a link up of forums new posts on this page, like that in forums..

Also in this page it is extremely difficult to tell if the comments are forum posts, blogs, or private conversations (ps they aint private unless you use the "actual" pm box.) Might want to let your members know that one...

It is a tad busy, but I am sure some like it some dont..

The albums are way cool...

Doesn't redirect for me, could be my system.

This works fine though http://www.3wheelerworld.com/forum.php

Dammit!

Just wanted to point out that a lot of boxes on the sides of the front page and main forum page can be collapsed giving you a more traditional forum view. Also, the different forum sections can be closed if there are sections you never visit. ;)

85788I do not seem to have collapsing power on front forum page...

I uploaded a screen shot for ya (I hope it is the right one)

On the right,, the comments are conversations to select members. (Not private messages) then followed by the forum posts, then blogs.

Oh yeah dont sweat it too much some bugs just simply work themselves out...

Jenn, those are article comments. They are viewable by anyone that views the articles. That box just conglomerates the most recent ones into an area.

The avatars for that box have been messed up since I installed and I haven't yet figured out what the deal is.

I also noticed, your not using the default theme/view. Bottom left corner, use the drop down and select 3WW 3.0.

Dammit!
12-28-2009, 03:35 PM
Weird. I didn't realize that collapsing wasnt available to everybody.

Comments to the right are comments on news articles and such. They were not posted in a private section or intended to be private in any way. No private posts should ever end up there.

We run this integration on DDR,,

Just a heads up,, I am being linked to conversations between 2 particular members.. If not suppossed to be, something is up.. Later tonight I will get some screen shots,, I have to get ready for meetings now..

Billy I am old I cant read the black and green

besides everyone knows red rules

I see the pict is not working I can put on photobucket if you like..

Is it just me, or does the "Remember Me" box not work when you log in? Used to be able to come back all the time and I would be logged in, but not anymore. Just a small thing. Thanks for the great site! You have done a great job with it!

The one on the main index page does seem to have some issues. Infact when I first login in the morning time, it shows me as being logged out on the 3wheelerworld.com page, but as soon as I click forum or go anywhere else, it shows back up. I'm not sure what would cause that, but yours might be acting in similar behavior

it pulls the main page quick for sure. loading the images on the front page is taking a while still. Would it be better to jsut have a worded link to the photos for performance issues or set the images up in flash?
