NH (Milton) - ME (Waterboro) Ice Racing info 2010

Thought I would start a thread and combine the 2 tracks. I'm going to be maintaining the Bullring in Milton once again. The track has been getting bigger every year and we have lost the ability to run a inside and outside groove consitanly. I'm going to make the track smaller in hopes of getting 2 wide racing for many laps at a time. Still need some more ice before the truck heads out there.

How is the track looking in Waterboro?

Anybody have any racing plans for Sunday 1/10 ? I'm ready to go.

im going sunday , right now they have a small track they snow blowed off. but everyone is going to be there in the morning sunday,
they said they have 12" but like to have it cleared off before they bring a truck out there,so im gonna bring the rhino and plow it.

Yes, I will be there at around 11 am. What do they have for a track now or for this Sunday? what time is everyone else showing up? If there is 12 inches of ice I can plow it with the truck if we need to, I will bring the plow anyway. Cant wait to try some of my changes.

not sure what they have for a track right now,
but i think mike has a plow too, im sure theres a reason why he doesnt want to go out on it yet with his truck. probably not 12" of solid ice.
todd said they would be there around 9:30.looks like a nice cold weekend too.
im with you, cant wait, it will be the first time riding mine after its been rebuilt,

speeds will be real fast on that track.

it was pretty fun,you can tell a bunch of us are a bit rusty.....i think everyone met a snow bank at least once.:D on the road track
eddies trike kicked ass pretty good on the oval.
it was a good first time out though,the guys up there are pretty cool to ride with.

It was a great day, did not take a count on atv's but around 12-15. There were plenty of guys into the banks including myself with a slow soft roll over into the pillow soft snow banks on the oval. The trike did do good but the black KFX and Todd (i think) were blazing fast on both the oval and tt course. I have a good video I'm trying to upload on utube (having problems) of the KFX passing me on the outside with 3 laps to go. Cant wait to go again.

Just ordered me some new parts for the trike. The old piston was getting tired so I had to do something about it. The credit card took a good hit but its gonna be nice to have something other than a stock motor to run with.

I will not be riding this weekend (trike is waiting on parts). I'm going to guess the track in Waterboro will be in bad shape after last weekend and with all the fresh snow. I dont have a problem heading up there Sunday to help plow if they think the ice will hold the truck. Get ahold of some of those guys and see what they think.

The track in Milton is not ready to be plowed off, I cut some holes yesterday and found spots that only had 9 inches.

How does everyone think the ice is gonna be this sunday??
its going to be real cold from tonight till sunday think its enough after the warm rain we had?
mike if the your track is wet you guys should think about comming to the milton ice races on the big track,last sunday jeff and aaron went there and said the track/ice was awesome all day but there was only 2 quads,i know it sucks $30 for the day,but i think i spent that in beer last sunday from being so bored...lol
let me know if you think its gonna be good ill come friday afternoon or saturday and try to plow with the rhino if its not safe for the trucks. so it will be good and solid top sunday.

the ice everywhere will be great, the day after the rains milton was like a mirror of solid ice. I really want to ride sunday but i am waiting on a exhaust silencer for my new top end kit.

ok so they went to the big track, we need some info on this. i'm guessing the $30 was yearly club fee $25 and then a $5 entry. so what did they think, will this track work for us in the future to do some organized races.

It was an awesome day for some ice racing in waterboro, alot of machines, alittle cold in the morning ,but a couple of fast laps got the blood pumping,the trackwas fast,, thankyou mike for plowing

Haven't heard from Jeff this week. so no shocks yet, We should go to Milton car races and put on a show for them at there intermision and run some races on the second track
the only thing is its going to be $25 bucks to join the club, It would be nice to have some ice races show up from the waterboro track, they are a class act there,

I'm here and ready, still have to go easy on the motor but I will be on the ice Sunday. I have no problem going to the big track in Milton and join there club if thats something we want to check out for future racing. How was the big track anyway? I dont think they ran last weekend there, I'm guessing because safety issues with no snow bankings. You guys let me know what you want to do.

So where did everyone go and how was it?

I went over to the big track in Milton. 3 bikes and 2 quads but nobody that I new from the Watrboro guys. I think I missed Jon with his badass 250R. Somebody there was talking to him before I got there. Just as well, I was hung over and turned very few laps. I'm not sure how I feel about running on a oval that big.

We should try and regroup for this weekend and maybe start planning a event for later in Feb.

Steve, thanks for the comp tester. I'm only getting 150 psi with mine and got 90psi with yours. not sure why my readings are so low. It seems like it has plenty of power.

sorry eddie,i havent used it in a while,if its no good just chuck it.
150-170 psi sounds pretty good i think anything much higher than that and you gotta run race gas,but i would check on that,i havent built a 250r in a while.
are you running ct's head with a high comp dome??

I have a track set up and ready in Milton NH infront of my house If we need a place to ride. It's a good size oval (3 x waterboro)with a option of a course on the inside. You should be registered in ME or NH to run here.

I would really like to set up some races this weekend or next with heats, semi feature and feature. I have a great points format and race format I think you guys would enjoy alot. I have thought this through pretty well, and even the fast guys would have to be on there game to claim over all winner. We should try it this year so we can make adjustments in the format for next year. If we could get 12-16 guys, we would have a great day of racing.

I'm up to riding where ever you guys want this weekend.

Hey waterboro guys you should really come check out eddies track sometime, its always in perfect shape, he goes out once a week just to drill holes to flood the track
so its perfect come sunday, He maintains it very well.he's been trying for a bit to get something sanctioned.so the more we get intrested the better
also it seems to stay dry threw out the day.

jon401r , I will be on the lake at 11:30 give me a call if you want when you get close. there is a road just north of the town beach called salbox (dirt road after the cement blocks befor kingsbury rd) that brings you right down to the track or park at the town beach.
