1982 Honda 110

I have recently bought a 82 Honda 110 without the pull start assembly. Is there any other honda model pull start that will fit it. Oh and it is the deep version. I know this because i recently bought the wrong one. Is there any way i could make that one work rather than buying a new one?

I'm pretty positive the '81-'81 110s are the only ones that will work.

81 to 83 ones will work. Those use a CDI as opposed to the earlier ("shallower") ones from engines with points.

They are perfectly round. The '84/85 ones (also CDI) aren't perfectly round, they have a 'notch' at the top. Look at these:

thats the exact problem could i use a 6 inch round piece of pvc pipe to fill the gap. sorry im new to the forum and am just figuring it out.
