Well I'm rebuilding the front end on my '86 250ES and went to replace the bearings. Long story short I had to cut the axle with a torch because the spacers were bonded to the axle. So, now I'm searching for an axle. I found one for a 250R on eBay. Will that fit a 250ES?

Pictures of both axles would help but i kinda doubt they are the same length.

If you want i could make you one if you send me the old one to get measurements off of.

I will check in the morning, but I think I have one from a 85sx. I don't know if it will work or not. I will do some checking tonight to see if I can see if it will work.

Possibly the 250ES is the same? but it's a log axle and they just seize up because the SX/ES never breaks down :)

Look into the ES as a bolt on, part numbers don't mean crap! But, if you can't find one, I'd most certainly take SWIGIN up on his offer. He has the capabilities to make you a nice axle equal t and or better than stock! You can also discuss a stainless steel axle with him at that same time. That may add some machine and material stock time though. Some stainless machines easier than others but it would be a super-nice improvement regardless!! :beer

Gluck!

I should have one since I have parted out 3 Big Reds in the last few years. I wont be able to check until the weekend though since I'm away for work training.
