Helping a buddy fix up a old Yamaha Trike. It has been painted (all the decals are gone) and missing a good amount of parts, but the engine is in good shape. Only problem, we have NO idea what model/year it is to get parts for.
The VIN is 24W-006859
It has shaft drive, front suspension but no rear suspension, so it is not a 225 DX
I'm pretty sure it is a 225 thou, but not certain.
Thanks!

24W-006859 = 1983 YTM200E (K) Yamahauler

Thanks MonroeMike.
Is it actually called a Yamahauler? Is that like "big red" from Honda?
Just curious, is it slotted below the 225DX in the model line? I have no idea about Yamaha trikes, but I'm assuming its more entry level than the 225DX, geared toward utility work and less expensive MSRP when new. Is this a correct statement?
What other Yamaha trike models existed in 1983?
Thanks,
-mark

I believe it's a nickname, like Big Red, (though I have seen it called that on some parts sites). It's usually listed as YTM200e.
Here's the other 83 models.

Cool. Thanks! Seems the 83-84 specs are WAY different for the Yamahauler. The 83 weights 271lbs and MSRP was $1449, but the 84 Yamhauler was 322lbs and $1729 new. Was there a big model change in 1984 to the Yamahauler?

The 83 200e weight is entered wrong, it should say 322 lbs.
(It's shows the ytm200K and L as having reverse also, which are incorrect).

Gotcha. So it was pretty much a mid to high end utility trike that cost and weighed roughly the same as the 1983 225 DX in 1983, but did not have rear suspension.
Thanks! Now I know what I'm working with!
