Hey my 86 200x needs a clutch, and I have never had to change a clutch, and to be honest I have never even pulled the side covers. I re did the top end with a 10.5:1 .020 65.5mm Wiseco piston and I have a cobra pipe, and some other stuff. I heard if you mod the engine you may need a better/bigger/heavier?? clutch so that it doesnt slip and stuff. As I am a "newbie" to the clutch "thing" (for lack of a better word) I am open to any advice on changing it and/or to what kind of clutch to buy, also about how easy/difficult it is to actually change it.

Replacing clutch disks is very easy, and youll probably get the longest life out of standard OEM replacement disks. I have found that Vesra and some other aftermarket ones do not last as long. There are heavy duty aftermarket clutches such as Barnett, but I really doubt you need one unless you are going through clutches in a short period of time, and really enjoy a clutch thats a lot harder to pull. Replace the fiber disks and the springs when you do it, and check clutch basket for grooves worn into it.
