DIDN'T SEE ANY ON e-BAY. lOOKING TO REPLACE THE LOCKED UP MOTER ON THE 86 TECATE fRANK SHIPPED ME. MAY BE CHEAPER THAN REBUILDING IT..

Why buy a used motor when you dont even know what it has been through compared rebuilding you own motor? If you can do it yourself, top and bottom, you will more than likely SAVE money, and then you know what you are getting, and not somthing that someone painted to make look nice.... on the outside, and claim it to be a low hour engine. Just my thoughts, good luck with what ever you decide.

On occasion craigslist has tecate parts. Anymore rebuilding it is the way to to go, these motors are 23+ years old and will eventually need redone no matter what.

Rebuild would be the best option IMHO but if not why not put a WTB thread in the classifieds here?

Sounds like a perfect time to drop in a KX500 engine...
