anyone running a 22x11x8 kenda front max?

i bought a rack from a guy a whiloe back for my sx and he thru in a extra tank and kenda max tire, tire looks still in great shape so i switched them when i did the fork seals. the person who had the tire befor me cut the side lugs off so it would fit.

my issue is that the tire is rubbing on the fork tube, anyone else run into this?its a little rub i was going to run it for a bit and see if it will wear down some?
i have the collar on the axel that was my first thought. the middle knob on the tire is lined up with the middle of the frame?
i double checked everything and nothing got put on backwards

A friend of mine had the same exact problem on his sx when we were young. Keep a very close eye on it, It actually wore a hole THROUGH the fork in no time at all. Back before the internet days, it was pretty hard to come up with a replacement. Might be worth looking into a different tire anyways, they're good for steering but suck for braking.

looks like i'm going to look for a new tire....kinda sucks, but thanks for the info at least now i don't need a fork and a tire...lol.


it's only rubbing a little bit, i think if i put a washer(2 at most) by the collar the fork would clear the axle. would that little bit cause the forks to bend or will it be safe to put in a washer (figure like 1/16"-1/8" thick)?

add more air pressue it shoudl grow and suck the sides in a little bit too for more clearance.
