Its an 84 and usually starts on the 1st or 2nd pull. If I just put around the yard its fine. As soon as I go ripping accross the field it boggs down and cuts off. I can wait a few minutes and it will start back up. My 1st guess is the coil. I don't have any manuals or specs to test anything. Any suggestions? Thanks, Mike

yeah, like harry said, make sure its getting gas, make sure nothing is clogged, sounds like it dies when your opening it up rather then it being hot (you said u can puts around the yard fine) and the gas lines just cant feed it fast enought, best way to check if its the CDI or ignition is when it does die check for spark right away while its hot, if theres no spark then u know its not a gas problem. but if there is spark then its probably not electrical.

I'll put money on you guys being right. It never even crossed my mind that I might be running the bowl dry. The fuel shutoff is broken, and I bet its not open all the way. I havn't checked yet, but I bet thats it. We've got the biggest pile of snow here now in at least 8 or 9 years, and I want to ride.
