So i've got no spark on my atc 110. its a 1980. i've determined its the spark plug wire and coil that are bad. on my 1980 there is a little capacitor looking thing with a single wire going into it and then the coil is next to it. I'm looking to get a replacement but i can only find one for a 1981+ which doesnt have the little capacitor attached, just a coil and wire. what is that little resistor/capacitor thing on there? and where can i get one?

That's the condensor, the 81 engine is CDI so the setup is slightly different. There's usually a few 79/80 coils on ebay.

But there selling just the coil, i need the condensor bc thats the part that the wire was pulled out of.

1980 coil set up has the condensor as part of the coil all in one and is 6 volt . 81 and newer 110's are a CDI set up and is also 12 volts so it wont work .
