1984 Big Red RUNS! but no electric start now...

Remember a few weeks back I was having carb problems with my 1984 Big Red? No? That's okay.

Then once I got the carb sorted, it quit sparking... Still doesn't ring a bell? Not surprised :)

Well, I hit it with the parts shotgun... New plug, new CDI box, new coil and plug wire.

Iit fired and RAN on the first pull! Runs pretty good too. It actually goes when you romp on the throttle!

Problem is, the electric start doesn't work now. The CDI box I got is a cheap knock-off supposedly for the 200M, but the package says TRX110. Is it a box for a machine without electric start maybe?

Have you checked the fuse?

After it started, the reverse light came on and stayed on... Now that I think about it the problem might be with the reverse safety switch.

did you sort anything out with that problem? i have a 200M cdi i was guna try to use but the reverse light stayed on all the time..... any help would be great, did it affect anything else besides the light coming on?
