View Full Version : So what trike is the easiest to find parts for?
I'm finding that parts for my 200M are REALLY tough to find. So what trikes still have the most (and cheapest) parts available?
In my dealings with the racers, I'd have to say the 85/86 250R would be the easiest! It's probably the easiest of all trikes. I can't believe the parts availability now that I have one and am looking for parts. You can thank the popularity and endurance of the TRX-Rs for that. For years I've been searching and waiting for KXT & YTZ stuff. I'm just getting started with the Honda and so far it's figure out which part you need and then choose who you want to buy from. There's current OEM, current AfterMarket, and tons of used stuff.

Well the 83 thru 85 200x's are easy to find parts for. The 86-87 is another story. lol

its got to be a 110 or 200x
110's parts are interchangable with like a million diffrent honda engines

I would have to say air cooled R's and 90-110's. and also 200's engine parts.

Sounds like the 200X is about the most available. Figures, I manage to buy the one you can't find JACK for (used, that is)! LOL

 Pfft....show-off ;)
I would agree that the 200X's are easy to find parts for, but my '87 SX had a bunch of parts available too. '85-'86 250R's would have to be the parts king though.
Front and rear fenders, headlight housing, handlebar, handlebar holder, rear brake cables (hand and foot brake) and tank. I know there has been debate here as to what is a lot of money, but the prices I find new parts for are too much for me. I've got a wife & kids, ya know. LOL
Some day I'd like to get a hitch and rear rack for it too. It's mostly for farm use anyway, even though it's a good way to teach my boys how to ride safely.

Let me guess Howdy...this is only part of your collection. Last time I saw a pic of these, you said it was only 1/3 of your inventory :D Geeeez

This will mainly depend upon how many of that model were sold, and which parts are interchangeable with other models, especially quads of later years, and I agree with Jeb, the 85/86 250R would be the easiest, though maybe not the cheapest, with many aftermarket parts still available as well.

200X, 250R and even my 250SX all seem very easy to find parts for - not as much 350X stuff though. I also find that the 85 - 86 250R parts can be VERY cheap if you can wait and bid or wait for what you want. Even the 250SX, people say, you'll never get a good driveshafte etc, etc. I wait and I ask questions and I always find them - I won an awesome driveshaft with a spotless seal area for 9.99$ last week. Got it today and it is perfect!
Yamaha and Suzuki you practically give away the parts just to get them and Kawi seems very tough to find.

yeah i would have to say the 83-85 200Xs because they made it three years and during those three years the motor stayed i think exactly the same.
