I am in debate between the Walsh chassis and the LSR chassis. The walsh chassis will envolve more money do to the CR500 Linkage there frames use and you have to purchase the Sub frame seperate. THe LSR on the other hand comes with the sub frame and uses standard set up. Granted eventually I will be changing my Duncan A Arms to long travel. whatwould be the better choice for a MX set up. Does anyone run the LSR chassis so i can get some feed back on it.

I Think long travel for MX would be better, more the better.

you might wanna contact HRE, he does new frames all day long and i know he did a cr500 linkage before. you might be able to get the best of both worlds with this stuff.

you prob talked to mike cuz hes the only guy that works for HRE. his work is really nice, i just had him fully gusset up a 300ex frame that will be used for wood riding. i got him started on creating swingarms with new bearing carriers for 3wheelers about 2 years ago. he gets alot of biz from this site.

check exriders.com for the pep shocks and ebay for cr500 stuff, you prob can get everything for less then the price of the walsh frame.

I'm just hoping that It turns out stylish and holds on strong. I want a full blown race chassis. I saw 3 legs 450 Hybrid and got jealous real fast. I asked him if he had HRE graphics kits since i was doing a full build figured i would run it. HE is backed up a bit so it wont be for another 3 months till i start posting pics of the build. I am surprised he hasn't done any Hybrid 3 wheeler frames for the power valved 2502 stroke or a 450 Hybrid frame with Triple tree.

mike at HRE is making a frame for a 250r trike setup for crf450r motor for deathman53 on the site.

He has the cr500 linkage swingarm done already it's one he did for a guy then he changed his mind a couple years ago.. He was buggin me to buy it for my trx250r.

I mite be interested in your old front a arms. Here a couple pics of my 250r's well 1 1/2 of them. the 1st pic is of my 86 with a Porter Race Produsts frame and with a Hre swingarm. He uses thicker metal then Lonestar and he actually has repaired alot of lonestar swingers for people due to cracking.

i'm intersted depending what you want for the arms. I already have PEP fronts and my ball joints are shot they are factory 86 a arms that a guy extended. been holding up for about 12 years but the joints are getting alot of play since they are original.

I can wait for pics and if your staying in Ohio i'll be out racing with the OTC guys at Smith rd and maybe Malvern i could get them then.

I think the HRE a arms are the best looking, at least the ones that have the huge bend for higher ground clearance.

I want to know more about the shocks. Length eye to eye. How old, what valving and anything I'm forgetting oh and price.

The shocks are standard length. the a arms i have are plus 2. as far as valving they are set up for MC and a weight of 200 lb rider. They are only 4 yrs old at most

I hear bad things about the LSR stuff. The wall thickness is too thin and cracks easily.HRE looks like great stuff, but you stated you wanted a full blown race chassis.go with what you know...Walsh is a proven company, with years and years building, and RACING frames, and chassis componets. They are the best, not saying anything bad about HRE at all!

Good luck on your build bro,see ya soon

You will love the HRE cr500 frame.

My brother had one built and I put it together and now ride it. Mine has the CR500 rear end and long travle front end and I could never go back....it will spoil you.

I have some odd random pics of it. This one was built to be a 350rx but other then the motor it is the same as any other Cr500 long travle R.
