i have an 86 200x. i was wondering if anyone else here has had issues with the chain staying tight to adjustment. everytime i adjust the chain tighten everything down and go for a ride i get about 100ft then it throws the chain. for the life of me i cant figure out why. the two bolts are in good condition and there are no stripped threads, what else should i check??

Are your swing arm bearings ok?

If you use a magic marker/grease pencil you'll know if the carrier moved.
Most likely it's another issue......
Good swinger pivot and carrier bearings?? Then I'd look at a bent rear sprocket? junk chain? worn front sprocket?? wrong axle causing an alignment issue??
It's gotta be something simple but figure it out before you ruin the engine case and I hope you have a case saver on there if your throwing the chain so much.....
Look and report cadet!! :D
