atc 250r wiring problems

Well guys traded the tecate for a 86 atc 250r. Had a blown base gasket. Removed the motor to fix the gasket.Put the motor back in and fixed the loose gas tand and rads. The wireing was all messed up and I think I may have burnt out the cdi box. Dad says it is the pulse generator. It worked befor the motor came out. I was going to take it on a long run tomorrow but i doubt that will happen now.

Are the pulse generators the same on another model? A klt 250 one looked the same but neded some mods to make work but that too was burnt out.
