1997 MXZ 583 Oil Problem

Hey guys, We went for a ride yesterday and noticed after the oil injection oil is green. We used XPS Skidoo oil mineral oil. Its a milky green. The coolant is full.

The oil you had in it before was just straight bombardier injection oil or synthetic?? And the oil you put in before you went for the ride was it synthetic skidoo oil?? You can't mix the ski doo full synthetic oil with other brands opr it has the potential of gelling up .

i disagree.....Doo sells Synthetic/Mineral blend. Synthetic and Mineral oils can be mixxed with no issues. green oil means coolant and oil are mixing

Correct ,they do now.But when they first come out with their brand of full synthetic oil you could not mix it with certain other brands of oil. I know this for a fact because I see it in my own sled and took it to the dealer and they showed me a bulletin from Bombardier that this will happen if mixed incorrectly. Now they have taken care of the issue.

true...i didnt think of mixing brands...i have heard of different brands not liking each other when mixxed...good catch!
