I got a 200E axle to upgrade the bent one on my 225DX...only problem, the part is disco. Yamaha part number 90171-20036-00
Its only worth a couple bucks, but my axle is useless without them.

Anyone know if any other hub nut will work from another Yamaha model?

Anyone know if their local Yamaha dealer might stock this?

Can I just find a bolt at my local hardware store that might work or is the castle nut a special bolt?

Thank!

yep go to lowes or a autoparts store and take the axle with you. people look at ya kinda funny but i dont care i do it all the time cause i want my stuff right. castle nut is just so you can add a carter key for saftey if it comes all the way loose. i had them i could of throwed it in with your seat foam...did you ever get it???

It's just a nut man. I can guarantee Lowes and the Crap Depot won't have it, but it won't be that hard to find a place that will. If there's an ATV shop near you there are probably a ton of other makes/models that use a very similar nut. I gave the neighbor kid one off my Tecate for his 300EX.

Last time I was at the Ace in my town I noticed they had castle nuts in the hardware aisle.
