OK, so Ross got all excited last night when he found an ad on KIJIJI for ANOTHER Tecate:rolleyes:

It was a good thing it was a nice day for a drive, we spent nearly 4 hours driving to and fro but what he got....? well worth the drive...

Allright I'm just stoked on this one, A good list of goodies found here
-almost new Maire front and rear fenders:Bounce
-nice clean tank skin:D
-green hand guards I was going to get anyway:cool:
-a really nice green tank with very little fading or staining:p
-brand new Razors on the rear
-Answer silencer and unknown aftermarket pipe?
-PVL ignition:drool::drool:
-Works performance rear shock:drool::drool::drool::drool:
The owner had traded for a snowmobile a few months ago and got this in non running condition, after a teardown it turns out the topend was cooked, but it has never been sleeved,so it is salvageable, and main bearings well on their way south. Nothing a good rebuild couldn't take care of.

Picked it all up for 500$ (Canadian)

There are a few tidbits I needed for my 1st 85 rebuild I'm in the middle of so this has turned out to be a great weekend so far.

I remember when I was getting about 1.30$ in Canada for every US 1$ I had, I think the tables have turned now.....

1.00 us is around .94c Canadian, Still in your favor but not by much. It changes daily.
Thanks for the responses, I was geek-ed to see the extras when we looked at it. Guy had no idea at all
Looks like the plating was worn right off the cylinder and they threw new rings in, or it was bored and not replated, no bevel at all on the ports, just sharp edges.
