Well the new to me 82 185 has no spark, did the checked the regular things, finally pulled out the multimeter and getting no ohms from the black wire to ground. My other spare 185 motor has 230 ohms off the same wire, So I figure either the stator is bad OR is it possible having the trike sitting outside for 10 years maybe ive got a bit of corrosion to the ground on the stator?
either way, before I can check to see if its a dirty ground on the stator, Ive got to get the flywheel off. I did this before, I have the puller tool. But I seem to remember the nut is reverse thread? I just dont remember, if anyone knows off the top of their heads, Id appreciated it. Jim

Nothing is mentioned about it being a left hand nut in my Clymers manual Jim.
Normaly they note it being a left hand nut or bolt so I am going to say it is just a normal threaded nut.
You need any of the specs from this manual on it ???

Thanks John, I just remember a left handed nut on one of my previous trikes. maybe the clutch basket on a 200X? Anyway, ive got the nut soaking, so next chance I get im going to see if I can bust it loose. Or I may just swap out the whole motor. My other motor, the stator reads good, and Im trying to use as many of my "stuff laying around" jim
