The Start of My 85R Build

Well this is the start of my build. The frame is blasted and ready for black PC. Im waiting on one more metal part so that i can take and have all done. Not sure what to do with swinger yet. I dont know if i should pc it, paint or something else. Im going to a place that does all kinds of plating to see what other options i have, dont really want to do chrome. I did figure a easy way to get needle bearings out. Get a 3/4" socket and a extensions that you dont want to use anymore and drive it right out, the socket fits perfect in pivot joint. Seals in forks are shot so they have to be rebuilt, thinking of putting progressive springs in while apart. Have 350x head light, i just think the double light looks better. I do have a top end i got, but it seems to be a little hard to find just the bottom end. Well going for pc in a week or so i will post more pics when done. Any advice of things that you would of done different please let me know.

Sounds like your off to a good start. I loved buidling mine, it's sometimes a pain but rewarding as hell.

Looks good Allen now to get you over and go through the shed for parts....I'd PC the swinger...what color are you going with on the frame???the plastics????

Just go to the top of the Trikesylvania page, on the left side, and click on the blue box that reads "post new thread". Then you can put in a header, and ask your question in the box. Then click submit or post.

Frame and swinger silver. Front hubs, rear hubs, brake hub, sprocket hub, rear shock spring all black.
All plastics will be black including tank and 350x head light. Axle and front forks polished. Motor Black. Havent made decision on rims yet. Im thinking polished front and black rears. Any thoughts?
