atc 185s weird problem

so last snow storm after riding for about 2 hours i came home to take a break fired the trike up but it wont rev past 1/8th throttle almost like a rev limiter is kickin in? I cleaned the carb 3 times thinkin something was clogged but its def gettin adequate amount of fuel/air. I changed spark plugs, took the air box off, took the muffler off, ran it with gas cap off, changed coils to a spare. it has a brand new CDI box only 2 months old as well as new stator coil 2 months old. it has a new blue rich spark when i check it for spark. I really dont know what else to check the valves r in spec also. I really dont think its the timing bc it did this once before then it was fine? i also tested the pulse generator coil and got the reading of 30.2? and the stator tested at .215 ohms does this sound about right?

how about the filter in the tank on the petcock ? sounds like you got everything else coverd. also how old is your fuel line if its realy old and plyable it may be suckn its self shut:wondering

sounds like something grounding out in the electrical system

the petcock is fine and it has a brand new fuel line im really lost on what to do anymore. it will start soo easily and idle like a dream but soon as gas is hit, its almost like a rev limiter is on.

I would check your timing even if you think it's right. Get a light and see if it's within spec.
