First off, thanks to DC, Jensen, Devilman and anyone else who helped me over the past month or so. I had a few problems where the trike was stuck in gear and couldn't shift, I found some disturbing things but cleaned everything up, inspected everything and put it back together.

I painted the exhaust while it was on it's side since the exhaust was looking rather shitty and put that on with all new gaskets, some exhaust gasket sealant since it was leaking where the header meets the pipe and fired it up. The carb was just dumping all the gas out when you turned the petcock on but once I got it running that stopped. It started first kick as usual so I am very happy. I ran it across the street to get some fresh gas in it and it seems to run and shift perfectly. I really think the metal I found was from a previous thing that the old owner must have fixed. There is still one problem and that is I can't get the master link on my new gold DID chain on....No one can, no matter what C-clamp or vise grips I use the link won't go in far enough to allow the clip to go on....I am still struggling with that but I hope to go ride next weekend.

Anyways enough of that, here are some pics! It's super dirty, oily and greasy but I just wanted to snap a couple of it. Oh and I forgot to put the skid plate back on for the pics haha.

**ALSO a big thanks to Devilman as he sent me these fenders so I could run them and not worry about my other good OEM fenders! You're the man!**

The master link is easy. Take a small nut (like one of the many 8-10mm nuts anywhere on the trike) and put it over the pin on the clip side, THEN apply force using whatever you feel like using. It makes all the difference in the world. Actually you have to be careful you don't put the link on too far this way and squish the o-rings.

I always use visegrips for this. Slowly adjusting them tighter and tighter until I get the link pushed on the perfect amount.

congrats man. fenders look good. to bad they are fixed on the other side. how much have you rode it since getting it together? i would take it easy for a bit, that loose metal scares me a bit. i would be afraid that there is still more in there and when i am balls to the wall something would jam and cause a sudden stop. maybe i'm just paranoid. well man good luck and be careful and your welcome

Yea I will take it easy, but I did go get a telescoping magnet and went through the case from both sides and got out all the metal I could. I'll try that for the chain, thanks Damnit!

That thing looks immaculate, have you resto'd the plastics or are they stock? If they are resto'd, you got me fooled. Nice job, hope it screams.

Thanks guys, in my eyes it is pretty beat up now....When I first got it it truly was a prime example of a low hour all original machine...The tank is starting to get scratched up, the fenders are too (need to polish them and they have developed a small crack :() and the frame/engine have boot rub. But you know what, I trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotr ailpro love riding it and that's what it was built for!

PS my shock boots cracked, anyone have any for sale?

Dang. you got lucky, my 350X was wrecked and all the plastics had a one big crack blown through them, the previous owner used shoelaces (polyester or nylon, the thick white kind) to stitch them up. held up, but looked like a patchwork ATC. We named the 350X Frank (enstein). It was real fun dropping in a new clutch bail and plates.

Well these fenders have a big crack on the other side of them but they are my runners, I have a set of nice OEM fenders with mudflap in the garage ;)

I've been toying with the idea of selling it for a newer TRX450r....I don't think I'd actually do it but I do want to get a newer quad for the MX track stuff, the X is just too old for it IMO, the suspension is lacking.
