i have an 86 tecate and the engine serial number is kx250de010170 and i ordered a water pump seal to install but its not the same as my other 86 tecate and the powervalve setup on the clutch cover is different as well any help ?

I am by no means a kawi guy and my knowledge is very limited with them, but I *think* that the same era kx250 motor is a direct bolt in. Perhaps you have a dirt bike motor in it?

based on your pictureless post and description of KX250DE serial I would say you are working with proabably one 1985 KX250 motor.
