Even worth it to sell these?

Hi everyone, I had a question for you about a dilemma for me.

What do you guys do with your spare/un-needed frames?

I have an 83 200 frame, and an 84 200x frame. Neither of which I plan on using. If I post them here, chances are anyone who is interested wouldn't want to pay more in shipping than the price of the frame.

I suppose I could make them into a trike, but I would need to spend some money on tires/plastics/seat/tank/etc. I have too many and don't need them.

Do you guys just post on craigslist? I have with little to no interest.

Honestly, I've given frames away for free on Craigslist a few times. Depends on the model and what kind of shape the frame is in. I hate throwing stuff away that somebody could get some use out of so I'd rather give it away than throw it away.

That's what I've been thinking. But I don't want to give them away just to sell them posted the next day on eBay or Craigslist for $50 or something.

I was thinking I'd post the pair at $20 a piece, and more if I sandblast and/or paint them first. I don't want to see them wasted, if I find someone actually has a use for them, chances are I would give them away.

What would it cost to ship a frame? I had a 83 200s come off the trailer going down the road last fall. My frame got bent pretty bad towards the back and would like to find a replacment.

greyhound bus cost about 50 to send a frame across the country. you will need to drop it off at a station and pick it up a the station.

If you wanted it that bad, I'd give it to you. However at $50, I'd say look for a cheap parts bike and get it that way.

Craiglook.com and search for one. I bought my 200s for $100. Fixed a few minor things and it ran that day, tires were shot. Pullstarters on eBay sell for $60-$85 in case you find a parts bike instead.

last 200x frame I had i gave it to a guy that bought my 200s so he could use it to build a auto x. Funny, Im trying to buy another 200x frame because it comes with a title so save myself the troubles of going to motor vehicle to get a title on the 200x I have now. jim
