tri z question

hey all, i bought a used bottom end of ebay won it for 40 bucks, the crank is rusted solid. already split the cases got the crank an bearings out. i want to know it a 85 yz 250 will work, it seems tri z cranks are hard to find. thanks, an if somebodys got a spare for sale id be interested

The 85 YZ 250 crank will work...BUT...The left side journal is different and wont hold the Z flywheel. That means you will not be able to run a lighting coil. You would have to run the dirtbike stator and flywheel.

If the crank is not too bad, you can have it pressed apart, buy the YZ crank, and use the original left side Z crank half to rebuild the YZ crank so you can keep your lighting system.
I hope I didnt confuse you.

Also PM "ATCERIC" on here. He has a many Z parts and even can set you up with a rebuilt Z crank.
If he cant help you, I may have a decent crank for a rebuild I can sell you.
But I really want to hang on to mine If I can, so use me a last ditch effort.
