quite a bit different from all the R's i've had, but this things looks like so much fun to ride without tearing up the yard and getting fully geared up for riding the R. Sometimes I am just too dam tired to ride the R, but need my "fix" , hope this satisfies :Bounce

a restored 'parrot green', might be called mighty green ?? I really do not know anything about these things . I will let you know if it is fun to ride . I hope they have an auto clutch because I do not see a clutch lever anywhere???
Seller said evrything was perfect, he seemed to know a little bit about these. I will ask about the clutch unless someone here chimes in

Very, very nice US90, I love the green, blue and yellow ones, they are so out of the ordinary. I'm not sure, but I think they might have put the yellow decals on the wrong sides of the tank. A very nice trike, that I would love to have.

I'm pretty sure those yellow decals on your tanks are upside down on the wrong sides of the tank. Also, if you plan on riding this alot, I would get the wheel adaptors. I would put those balloon tires up, covered up in a cool, dry dark place. I would hate to see you puncture one. And also yes, the 90 is auto clutch or maybe semi-auto clutch would be a better term. Your foot actually operates the clutch every time you upshift or down shift. With a little practice, you will be foot popping the clutch to some amazing wheellies! LOL Nice trike. Protect the wheels. Have fun. Have you folded it up and pulled it apart and put it in the trunk of your car yet? That's what these were made to do. Get yourself a shop manual, owners manual and find you a couple brochures and old adviertisements. The color you have is mighty green. Parrott green is the lighter green color of the earlier 90s.

thanks guys for all the info! feel much better knowing it is an auto clutch , but nervous now that the guy who restored it put the tank decals on wrong????
Veal Monkey, I just bought the bike in California , so it will take a couple weeks to get it shipped to CT.
Pretty sure the tires alone could sell separatly for close to what I paid for the bike ($1100) , so if it is a bomb, i can recoup my $$
still really happy about the bike, looks like so much fun to putt around on. Can't wait to see if it fits in the back of my wifes jeep!! that would be cool!
open to any and all info, you guys schooled me already, ty.

Those are just stock rims probably with 22x11x8 tires. The parts you need are the adapters. They will let you bolt stock 110 wheels onto the us90 hubs. You can get them from vintage motorsports who is a member on here. They will hook you up.

ahh , thanks VM. Vintage motorsports is really into the US90, I was checking out thier website before I bought this bike to see if parts are impossible to find. They actually started to make hard to find parts and sell them to keep us running! Awesome!

Yes I have everything you will need to fix that 90 right up . I was looking at this 90 on ebay last week and emailed the guy to let him know the tank was painted upside down he sent me some wise ass comment. I would use the term restored on this bike very loosely for 1000 you probably cant go wrong if the tires are good but pictures usually make things look better than they are in person and i am seeing alot of wrong things that were done but wait till you get it in pop the rear fenders off and shoot some pics and we can tell you whats right or wrong good news is most of that stuff is easily fixable still for 1k not a bad deal

Thanks guys. I have absolutly no idea about these little bikes except the tires are almost impossible to find. I am hoping I did'nt buy a lemon. Guy said it drove perfect and everything works perfect. we shall see. I will send you some pics to see what I need to get this going in the proper direction. First thing will be to put new tank decals on the right way.
Vintage, i did get it froim the guy on ebay. hopefully have it in a few weeks, then we can get it on track.

that 90 is just awesome. Just keep it the low range gears to tool around in the yard. And practice your wheelies!!!!!hehe. When i was 9 my uncle kicked down his 1977 90 "pumped" to a 107 big bore kit before the 110 came out. I quickly learned that if you put it in gear (any gear) you can push down on the shifter a little with your foot and it would allow the auto clutch to slip a little so you could get the revs up and the let off of the gear lightly to get the front end up easier. Just like popping a wheelie on a trike with a clutch. Sorry to ramble, i would have paid a little bit more than what you paid for that if i was in the market for another trike. That green is just bitchen looking!!!!!

That thing is awesome. If you are keeping it for a rider I would sell the tires, from what I here they are worth a fortune. I have heard they go for $250 ea. or more, but that was on a post and I am not an expert on vintage tire prices. But if that is right you would have paid only $300 for a real nice US90.

That was my plan, use the money to buy a nice set of tires for riding. I am sure somebody who wants an original bike would love these tires. Supposedly they are patch/ puncture free, and hold air forever.
I would just ruin them by riding where I live.
cheers

i dont remember on my 73 90 , those being stickers, mine is yellow paint if i remember, with a wide black pin stripe around the outside to cover the paint line..maybe those are decals on yours. i have spare tires for mine, mine have no plugs or dryrotting. i bought mine , for $450, 5 yrs. ago, and its real nice like yours is.

$ wow $450..you wanna sell it?
i think you are right about the decals , i hope the guy who restored the bike painted the yellow so I can fix the pin stripes. Are your spares original balloons or do you have the adapters w/ rims the guys are telling me to get?
