Went out to the desert for the day with the "ol Z" today instead of my YZ. What a bitchen time on the trike! It was really funny watching people double necking at me on my Z as i went by there camps or passing them on there quads or bikes. Very cool feeling. I took more pics but havent uploaded them yet.
Anyways, just a really fun time on the trike. I gotta say, it was more fun on the Z than i have on my YZ250. Totally different riding tooling aroung climbing hills and blasting burms!!

Thanks guys! Dont mean to rub it in your face Lardog, but i go at least every other weekend. It's only about 60 miles away. And code 200k, that answer silencer sounds awesome! Just repacked it about 2 trips of riding ago. I had one on my 1986 Tri-Z back in the late 80's when i was a kid. That Tri-Z had an Answer pipe on it too. Didnt like the answer pipe so much, it was a top end pipe only, took the weak bottom range that the Z had to begin with, but hit pretty hard on top. The DG pipe that's on it now fits crappy up against the exhaust port. I will machine a better gasket out of brass at work this week, benifits of working at a machine shop :). This is the first trip after doing the "yamaha wrench report" work on it. Turned down .030" of an inch on the surface of the head and raised the port 1.5 mm. Got a used 38mm mikuni from an '84 YZ250 off of some dude on CL. It worked really well but the float valve on that ol carb leaked. So i picked up another on CL but this time a 38mm kehein PJ. Damn this TRI-Z pulls hard in every gear now. It will come up in 4th gear in the dirt on the pipe and with a little help it will come up easy in fifth in the dirt!! I didnt loose any bottom end, but it didnt have much to begin with. Stay on the pipe and haul some @$$!!!!!!

I haven't been there in 20 years.. Occotillo was a great place to ride. They have everything, sand, dirt, tracks.. it really is a great place to ride. I'm surprised more people don't ride there. We used to spend hours at blowsand racing people up the hill.

Thats where i parked today. At the bottom of blowsand. Tons of fun, lots of people out today on a sunday!! Beautiful today, not a cloud in the sky, only in the low 70's.
