When I picked up my 200es it looked the same, no plastics or seat, but it had good axles and racks. And all my buddys would call it the Junk Yard Racer because it really was. lol The 200es has plastics on it now and looks alot better. But this isnt about the 200es. I bought a 83 200e that the PO was selling for parts because it was sitting after it spun the hub/axle.
I paid $170 for it. Probably too much but its hard to find cheap big reds. It came with all 3 25 inch tires, all matching all dry-cracked but hold air. Needs a front axle, rear axle, hubs, brakes, and all the cosmetics but it wont be getting any.
Engine wise, guy stored it outside for 8 years. I cleaned the tank (rust free inside) and frest gas and batt and it started right up. And runs pretty good.
I will update the pic as I get it put together.

I dig, i would drop the 200 motor in the 185s frame and put the 200 forks and tank on the 185, i did that so I could have a lighter frame, suspension, a comfortable seat, and easy to remove rear plastics. just my $.02 though.
The swap I described above makes for a good racer frame, I did it to mine before i went to full suspension and I could power slide like it was nobody's business.

I would but that 185s is pretty mint and is my baby. It will take my autox and both my bigreds. But its also carbed and piped. :)

oh, I did not know that, nice 185! mine was abattered POS when I got it and is now half parts, and half race bike. Pretty slick, my 200 has been bored a little (about 212cc) cammed, (perf cam from XRperformace) and has had some transmission work. Is your bassani a system or just one component? I made mine from the stock header, a Harley crossover pipe and a CR480R silencer.

The bassani is a complete system and sounds amazing. I would also like to cam the 185.
I got the seat for the 200e in today.

very nice, sounds like you will have 2 complete bikes soon enough. I would go through an XR performance website, their stuff works well and is bulletproof. You can even convert your cam journals to roller bearing!
