Any news on the Dunloop KT576 ?

I have been searching everwhere and no luck finding this dunlop tire. Any new news on this? I need one for my 87 200X.

I'm guessing you know they're discontinued, and Dunlop e-mailed me and said they had no plans to resume production.

I just cannot bring myself to pay 400 bucks for a tire, that is crazy to me. I know they are hard to find but thats what they are going for it seems. soilmec just emailed me , he wants 400 plus shipping. I will probabaly end up paying that but for now I am going to keep searching dealers all over the world. Maybe Ill get lucky.

I'm curious. Are you doing a restoration or is this for a rider?

I had plans to put one on my 200x project (I have a couple NOS tires) but don't know if I'll be able to bring myself to use them at this point. I intend to ride that trike in the desert (lots of tire puncturing cactus around here) so I'll probably end up using a kenda or cheng shin. Maybe I'll get lucky and find a nice but used one for the 200x.

Anybody have any connections at ITP or another tire company? I think we'd have better luck getting an aftermarket company to make us a new design based on the old one than to get the original re-issued.

Maybe we'll get lucky someday and one of the big quad makers will come out with a new sport quad that uses the same size tire/rim.

Im just doing a light resto on my 1987 200X and it doesn't need much at all, I just replaced a new oem grab bar and light switch , it is in very nice shape . I just need the front tire. It has a new aftermarket on the front right now.
