The trikes a 82 atc200. Nether lights worked when i got , it was missing the rear bulb. So i thru a new bulb in it and it worked and was very bright at idle, cracked the throttel got really bright then went out. That it was weird so i checked it with my multi meter. its putting out 30-35volts at idle and over 100volts when on the throttle. Figured it was a bad voltage regulater. but it doesnt have one. Is this normal? Ive picked up a voltage regulater and plan on mounting a battery some were so i can use the lights with the bike off.
Second question. on the top of the head theres that plug to get at the valve to make adjustments. ive tryed new o-rings and still leaks. A buddy has a cr80 and hes taken and drilled and tapped that plug and ran a vent tube down the frame. Ive read about the engine having to vent back thru the oil passages from the head to get the vent in the case. Think this will help or wasting my time?
