Easy Question- Needs an easy answer

I have a 250sx and I have the air filter in the air box (under the seat). I do not have the sponge (foam) that goes around it, I am assuming it is important and there for a reason.


is there a specific size ? is this something I can get from the local parts store or is this a specialty item like most ATC parts ?

It's called ELEMENT, AIR CLEANER (SKU 17254-964-003) (Honda Code 1423037) and from what I can tell it's still available from Honda parts dealers. and yes it is important it cleans the air before it goes in to the cab/engine

I would see if I could get an aftermarket foam one as the one I got from Honda a couple of years ago was around $35.00 US
