OK, there is alittle over 2,000 of us in here. I believe that if we all sent emails, and postage mail to Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and any other company out there, then that might show them that there is people out there that truly LOVES 3WHEELERS, and they may be persuaded by that, and start producing them again. Hell just send them a link of all the 3wheeler websites out there and that should prove something to them, especially if they saw this site.

I honestly think this would contribute greatly to our dreams of seeing 3wheelers being produced again.

There is only like one or two hundred active members anyways.

There is no way 3 wheelers will be produced again...ever......so there is no use fighting for them.

if trikes were produced again, your trike would be worth nothing and would probably lose its sentimental value to you. You own a piece of american(really japanese) history that will probably never see production again. the only way you are going to see anew trike is if you build it yourself. but you can always hope. :-D :-D ----Joe 8)

I dont believe they would ever make anything as awesome as the 250r,Tecate,or Tri-Z, etc. again. they would all probably be four strokes,with electric start , reverse, and heavier than hell. The only thing that might help would be for all of you and all of your friends to stop buying four wheelers. put your money towards a three wheeler!!!

Man you guys have to stop being so negative. Anything is possible and I say we shoot for it. We e-mail honda,yamaha, Kawaskie etc and tell them how much we are in love with trikes and they should start them up again with the technology today i bet 3 wheelers could be so much safer and at the same time hi performance come on guyz lets give it a shot.

lets realisticlly look at this;

lets say that of all the 2000 regesterd members were still active out of that 2000 how many could really aford a new 6,000.00 3 wheeler? now lets say all of the 2000 could and would buy one, that would be $ 12,000,000.00. ok that sounds like a lot of money but oh wait there will be at least 5,000.000 million in tooling expense's to build molds, cast, dies, ect. for all new parts (unless you want a 86/2004 250R) then there is the labor cost for the workers on the assembly line. a typical factory takes 2 to 3 weeks for a production run and employes about a 100 people. so you have 120 man hrs @ say 5.00 an hour x 100 = 60,000. then you have the shop expenses oil for the motors/suspension, electricity, and all the other expense involved like workmans comp insurance 40,000.00. then all the advertising expenses and pubications 500,000.00 (how much do you think ads, brochers service manuals cost ) then the dealer gets aprox 1000.00 for each unit he sells 2,000,000 (of which he has expense to pay out of that) the distributer gets about 1000.00 for each unit he sells to the dealer 2,000,000.00. then you have the cost of bringing them over hear from japan at least 1,000,000.

lets see thats 10,600,000.00 out of 12,000,000.00 that leaves 1,400,000.00 profit for the manufacturer not a big profit to a multi billion dollar company. and i know i left out a lot of other hidden expense's

Then we have the lawsuits that will pop up once someone gets hurt and they can use the past concent decree act against the manfactures in the lawsuit which they will easily win due to the publics misconception about the 3 wheeled death traps. the first loss will cost them (the manufacturers) 1,000,000.00 in legal fees and about 10,000,000.00 to 15,000,000.00 in settlement cost.

so for them to build us 2000 members a new trike ( and this is just the cost for ONE model do you think all 2000 members want the exact same model? ) it will COST them aproximatly 12,500,000.00

is that being negative or realistic
