So I got 2 sets of bearings off of eBay. One set for the front, one set for the rear. I purchased them both as All Balls kits and the rear set showed up as a QuadBoss kit. The thing is that both bearing sets have the bearings wrapped in a KML wrapper. Is it safe to assume these are the same kits, from the same manufacturer, but with a different company name on them? The QuadBoss packaging even has an All Balls number on it.

I have installed both bearing kits & from what I have seen they are the same bearings!

I've dealt with a few different ones and I get the feeling that QuadBoss and Moose get their bearings and seals from All Balls and if not all 3 get them from the same place. Hopefully your QuadBoss bearings are better than my QuadBoss rack bag. It ripped by one of the straps and had one of the plastic strap buckles snap off after just a few rides.

They are all just fine for axle bearings/wheel bearings and headset bearings.

Cheaper bearings have less important tolerances and won't last as long as OEM; But probably long enough for most of us.

I'd NEVER run cheap crank/mains or tranny bearings though. Just my opinion.......................

It's beginning to seem like a competition to see who has the most trikes. BUT, they don't get ridden very often so this AM stuff works fine.

Ive noticed that it really doesnt matter how cheap a bearing you run, its how you keep it lubricated is what really makes a difference, especially on chassis bearings. Every single one I buy, I always pop the dust seal off and fill it with grease, and put the seals back on. Ive noticed that even the high quality bearings only come with barely enough grease to notice its there. But like DC said, its always best to buy the best quality bearings you can find on major components like the crank, tranny, balancers, etc.
