200x problem

My honda 1984 200x is having a problem. when i ride it for an hour or two it starts to die when i go into 3rd or 4th gear its like it isn't getting enough gas. what is wrong?

sounds like vaporlock, check the gas cap/ vent thing. otherwise it could be the electrical playing gremlins on the wiring, when hot it craps out, when cold it works. works on cars, could be CDI???
