Can someone measure the ID of the pipe flange and the OD of the cylinder where it mates to? I want to see what size gap is between a pipe and the cylinder without any gaskets.
Thanks

Anyone have some spare parts laying around they could check for me? It would be greatly appreciated.
I think i have a solution to the leaking exhaust problem, but i need to know some measurements to see if it will work!
Thanks Guys!
I will take some Tomorrow when i get back to the shop, Mine had an old DG and the flange on the pipe was WAY to big and leaked like a sieve. Had a new one made and welded on.

Thanks! So the DG Pipe Flange is not the same size as the stock pipe flange?
Could you post these measurements:
OD of the Cylinder Piece
ID of the Pipe Flange
Then we will see if people with other pipes can chime in on the ID of their Flanges.

I'll try and check it after work today. The Tri-z people need something to fix this besides silicone.

Thanks! I 100% agree!
I really hope there is a gap around .16" or 1/8 to 3/16 or larger.
I have a brand new DG extreme pipe and 2 jugs I can measure for you.
Unfortunately, I doubt you want measurements with a tape measure and my dial calipers are at the shop till Monday.
I will post some readings next week for you.
I am sure you will be dealing with almost a 1/8 tolerance, especially with the lighter steel pipes, like the Cobras, Phase 5, and Answer pipes. Those usually fit really sloppy because the mild steel flares out from years of use. I dont have any lighter pipes I can measure for you though.

Just took some measurements. With Calipers of course.
OD or Bell of cylinder = 55 mm. Obviously this varies on cylinders due to condition. Mine measurement was taken from a NOS cylinder.
Phase Five pipe = 59.50 mm
Stock = 59.50 mm
DG = 58.50 mm
Hope this helps!

Great!! That is a .17" gap on the stock/phase 5. I can work with that....
Im not sure on the DG... why did they have to go and be different?!
Can you take one more measurement for me? What is the length of the "Bell" of the cylinder? Does the pipe join the bell perfectly?
