I need to figure out what is the difference in the 2 engines. Only the top end I need to know about.

Here is what I ordered:
1984 200s intake and exhaust valves
1984 200s top end gasket kit

The problem I need to figure out is are the valves and gasket kits the same for both engines. Everywhere I look it lists them different for both the valves and gaskets.

I am trying to decide what engine to rebuild. I have a 1983 atc 200 engine already disassembled but it smoked. The 1984 ATC 200s engine I have doesn't smoke all the time but its a little low on power. Trying to figure out what engine to go with. If the parts only fit the ATC 200s then its any easy decision.

I believe they are the exact same, the only difference I can imagine are the stator wires coming from the stator, one engine has all three together in one plug and the other has two together and one alone. I am 99% positive the rest is the exact same.

I would have to agree.

I just checked bike bandit. They are showing a different intake valve part number but the complete heads have the same part number.
I wasn't sure if they just modified it for the 1984 model year or what. Wanted to confirm before I have the head machined.
