86 tecate brake pedal - parts interchange

unpacked my 86 tecate powdercoated parts over the weekend and noticed my two brake pedals are different. one is definitely an 86 but the other is either an 84/85. i must have purchased off ebay and got the wrong part somehow, misrepresented when i bought it. anyone know if this will work for me? any thoughts on other parts working here or anyone use anything else? i browsed through pictures and looks like every 86/87 is using the correct brake pedal, no one using the 84/85. also, search feature on the forums doesnt seem to be working for me.

well most i can say is if you have both year pedals, try it and see. by looking at my 85 and 86, i dont think it will, but then again i havent tryed swaping them.
