does anyone know the correct position for the idle screw , cant seem to get mine dialed in , just wondering if i just need to mess with it till i get it right or not ive heard 2 and a half turns out ? its a stock 86 200x

If you mean the pilot screw, initial is two turns out.

you need to use the throttle stop in conjunction with what mike thinks you might be talking about. which is the pilot screw. assuming your fuel/air system is clean, i think you need to find the pilot screw and turn it all the way in. then back it out 2 whole turns. then use the throttle stop to get it how you want it to idle. then while its running turn the pilot inward untill it dies. then when it dies back it out one full turn. then you gotta re-do the throttle stop. then youre done
