I've been re-doing my 83 250r for the past few weeks I got bored with the looks of it and I wanted to do a few things to it.I have been through about 4 different used carby and kept having problems with them so I bought a brand new mikuni tmx38mm carb. The pivot roller bearings needed replacing and 2 of the bolts on the cylinder were stripped out so I had heli-coils put in it and had the head decked flat cause it was warped a little.
Heres what It looked like before....

and some polished bits and pieces.I only polished it all by hand since I was low on money and couldnt afford to buy any polishing wheels for the drill.

The frame had a few cracks appearing here and there so I welded them up,removed the airbox mounts, tail light brackets, and the clips that the rear brake line clipped into cause they were broken

...still got to clean and paint up the header pipe and play around with the jetting.I've been working lately doing some volunteer/training work so I've been busy with that and have been getting home late in the afternoon to fully finish it so hopefully It should be all done this weekend then if the skies clear up I can take it down the park and get some good shots of it... :):)

We just put our 83 together, getting that shock in took us around 4 hours. We couldn't figure out how the hell it fit in. But we got it, now we just have to tighten it back up and get a piston, then it'll be ready to ride.

Got bored last thursday and decided to pull my 250r down for the thousandth time since the pics above I have rebuilt another motor, different frame/swing-arm,whole new front end and a whole lot of other parts eek...I think I have just about replace everything in this trike since I got it in late 2008.while it was down I decided to rebuild the top end since it was a little low on compression,Also finally got a straight rear axle since the one in it was bent from me smacking into a tree last year and flipping it several times lol.It goes quite well now and is all ready for the dunes again this sunday!
this pic was taken a few weeks ago
