Hello,

I have a really bad bog on my ATC 110. If I give it just a little gas, it dies. If I give it a lot of gas, it will die. I have rebuilt the carburetor, and have checked it almost 8 times, there is nothing wrong with the carburetor.

I have the largest jets in the car, and the slide needle in the richest position, it has the least bog this way. It has almost no bog with the choke on. It idles perfectly, and the air mixture screw has no effect on. Yesterday I took the mechanical advance assembly completely apart and cleaned and oiled it. It may have had a minimal effect on the bog, I don't know. I also verified that the valve timing is right. I adjusted the valves less than 6 hours ago.

So, today I checked the silencer, and there is no packing left. There is no obstruction, either. My thought is in the expansion portion of the muffler that runs under the ATC between frame halves.

I need help, can anyone tell me what is inside that muffler portion? I really think the muffler is clogged. I am able to cut a hole in the muffler, clean out whatever may be in there, and weld it back on.

OK I took the muffler off. I started it without (I know about the exhaust valve) and revved it twice, both times it still dies. The muffler doesn't seem to be restricted. Is my carburetor just worn out? I have never come across this before!
