My favorite ORV park is in Genesee County (5 mins down the road from me) North of Flint. Just Google "Mounds ORV park" Orv sticker required and a day pass is $5.00 (give or take). Spark arrestor required and usually exhaust decibles are measured. Open to trucks and all ATV/ATC and dirtbikes. No snowmobiles. has 3 lakes all of which can be fished (nice Bass, Pike and panfish). Has a good mix of sand, mud and alot of trails. Good people and Sundays are the busiest days.

Great park! Trying to get back this year at some point. Small parking lot, so don't bring a huge rig or show up too late on busy (holiday) weekends and expect easy access. Good mix of riders. Last time I was there they had a group of Jeeps, an H1, smaller trucks, SxS's, quads, trikes, etc.

they opened up two other places to park with easy access for trailers. One is directly west of the entrance (has a couple barns on the dirt lot) and one is across the street from the entrance (entrance to the fairgrounds) Alot of people don't know about it, but I used to unload my truck there.

There are no restrictions for trikes. All are welcome

The park riding area is very restricted from March 31 - May 15 and a day pass is $7 for Genesee Co residents and $10 for outsiders.
They often look for spark arrestor but have not DB tested me in years, but if you have a 4 stroke fart cannon they might check you out.

Yes the parking can get crazy when everyone shows up all on the same day, and it happens often. You can camp across the road opposite the Mounds and ride from your camp site to the park. I wonder if you can just park over there too?

It is a good 4x4 truck area, but as for quads and trikes well it's kinda rough if you ask me. It is mostly a mud bog swamp.
Easier to ride a dirt bike there. I go there to practice and test and tune since it's in my county.

Michigan has some of the best trails in the USA but the Mounds does not top that list.

I have never driven anything other than my bogger there, But they have made alot of changes and it is not a bad place to ride. It never hurts to go and form your own opinion. Sundays are the days that our club and others gather there in our trucks it is always the most crowded day. There are plenty of trails and sand and of course mud. But most importantly there are plenty of great people to meet and always willing to help. If you go there and spot any rigs with a "Got Mud?" sticker, they are a part of our crew.

No but I certainly want to. We love the U.P. We may move up there when our kids are out of school. I have friends that retired to Ironwood but I haven't been in contact with them for a long time. If we move there we promise not to behave too much like "trolls" :)

edit: For those who don't know, Yoopers refer to lower michiganders as trolls because we live below the Bridge (Makinaw).

Try Bundy hill-it's in Jerome, MI www.bundyhilloffroad.com I've been to the mounds-in my opinion it's not too much fun because they never grate the trails and its usually only 1st and 2nd gear stuff-its more fun if you have a truck then if you have a trike. Bundy hill is A LOT bigger and you can get out of second gear!

Me and jay went there once but hardly rode lol i think we where there for an hr before he ditched his trike into a mud hole, we plan on going back after they open it fully up, witch i think happens may 16th but they'll probably be busy that day, if anyone want to meet up there and ride 1 day after they open fully again let me know we can set up a lil meet or something

while i'm thinking about it anyone know any other place to ride near mt morris, clio, birch run, millington area? mounds seems a lil small i'd like to find a larger area of trails to ride rather then a bunch of hills lol

So my goal this year is to get out with some other Trikers at least once per month.

So far June has a couple weekends booked with Bundy hill the weekend of the 1st, and then trikefest weekend of the 22nd.

Then i think its first or second weekend of Aug is Rogers-Mudpuppie's Rose City ride.

Does anybody know of any other group events that are here, or local enough to attend, or does anyone want to try and set something up?
With the way our mild winter has gone, I am itching to get out and do some riding.
