Thanks

they look to be made by bassani so they should be a good all around 200x pipe

I've never heard of one ran on a 200x, but I remember somebody on here had one for sale a week or two ago. Either way, I'm sure it is better than a cobra exhaust

Supertrapps pop up on ebay all the time tho. I would look for a supertrapp if I were you. That is what I have on my 200x and the adjustability through the disks comes in very handy.

What is so bad about a Cobra Exhaust? I see them on 200x's all the time, why would so many people have them if they are crap?

because they are cheap and readily available. most people get so tired of the noise they take them off after a few months. The header paints flakes off after about 10 mins and begins to rust. I have had one a few years ago and was happy to get rid of it.

i love the idea of the adjustability of the supertrapp and although I have never heard one in person, they sound really good on youtube

Don't get me started...lol. The answer is: Nothing is wrong with them.

Cobra is one of the non-rare, non-NOS/OEM, non-chic brands that happens to work, but doesn't enjoy a popular following in the opinion-parroting world of 3-wheeler parts-perception. One day, such makers of exhaust and similar (undeserving)reputation-laden plastic companies will no longer offer what some take for granted. Then, we can all enjoy our stitched plastic(if we ride the machine at all for fear of breaking plastic we can't replace), we can trade around for the aging used exhausts, or try to afford the horded up NOS stuff. Sounds like fun:)

If it's too loud, run a stock exhaust.
If the paint comes off, repaint it and be glad it didn't cost you the price of a NOS Bassani (etc..)....which will eventually need paint too if you take it out of the plastic....and it won't turn your 4-stroke into a guided missile any more than a Cobra will.
If it doesn't increase power, you were either expecting unrealistic gains beyond what an exhaust can give a single-cylinder engine, or you need to check your jetting.

Some of these companies have been with us since our beloved machines were new. Some of their parts were developed with the help of the best racers of the day...yet they are regarded as if they were built by blind crack-addicted monkeys with sledgehammers.

Fast and good looking machines have worn these companies' products for decades.

EDITED TO ADD: Can ya'll tell that I quit smoking today? :)

I am just bummed supertrapp stopped making them, and Cobra continues to do so with ease, and appears to sell alot of them. Either way, i am looking to buy a Supertapp for my 200X

I have to admit, I never tried a Supertrapp, but I would like to.
