Go to a Motorcycle junkyard and find yourself something. If you want some pics of the mod I can do that for you

some pictures would be useful.i have spent the last 2 weeks replacing stripped bolts and changing the 10w30 oil that was in it with 20w50 which was recommended.i also changed the oil filter as it had NEVER been replaced.i also used a little bit of tx7 in the oil which seemed to help immensely.she runs like a raped ape but is WAY too loud!

my girlfriend has my camera at the moment but here is how I did it and it is ghetto. Got a pipe off a harley not purposely but thats what I ended up with. I drilled out the mount on the frame for the exhaust so I could just run a bolt and nut through. I got a crappy rubber pipe coupling from a hardware store and fitted them together and bolted the exhaust can in. You might want to get the coupling from an auto parts store because the crappy ones not made for high temp will melt. I fitted aluminum foil in the header pipe end of the rubber coupling to dissapate heat and so it wont melt and after 2 days of some riding it hasnt melted yet. Also if you want a real pipe on it I think the cobra pipes can be fit.

Oh and if you put any pipe on it at all you will notice a big gain in low end torque. I ran mine with no pipe for years and with the harley pipe it made a huge difference.

i found a used yamaha dirtbike pipe off an early 90's bike and got a metal strap from the hardware store.mounted it up and it screams and is alot quieter.i can burn em on the pavement now.kick arss!the rubber coupler that came with the pipe is mrlting so i am planning on just welding the pipe to the header and callin it good!thanks for the help guys.appreciate it.anyone know where to get performance parts for the klt200's?

I actually just put a new pipe on my '84 KLT200C. I got one off ebay that is a "universal ATV muffler". They have them for sale on Amazon as well:

http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Black-Muffler-150cc-250cc-Frontiercycle/dp/B001XQ7TWM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=automotive&qid=1273676235&sr=8-1

I had to make an adapter since the stock header is 1" OD and the muffler is ~1.25" ID, but it's much quieter than with a rusted out stock pipe and it runs great. I had to weld a couple brackets to the thing, but it mounts up and looks like a stock ATV muffler.

Good luck finding performance parts for the thing! Let me know if you come up with anything.
